‘Good Morning Britain’ features a HUGE change in presentation as Richard Arnold is replaced by a boy band pop legend
Duncan James, 45, will replace Richard Arnold on Good Morning Britain as the show’s entertainment correspondent for a week.
The pop star will cover the TV legend, who has hosted the showbiz section of the show for more than 20 years, as he embarks on a summer vacation.
Duncan – a quarter of boy band Blue – will make his debut as guest entertainment presenter on the ITV breakfast show on Monday August 14.
After Good Morning Britain announced the news, Duncan said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Good Morning Britain family.”
“I love the show and have been there many times, not only on Blue but on Chicago with Alexandra Burke, but this time will be different as I’m hosting.”

Speaking of his preferred work attire, Duncan added: “I want to look really smart, so definitely a blazer, a nice shirt and trousers and a pair of nice shoes, but definitely not as colorful as Richard Arnold!”

While Duncan is no stranger to hosting – he’s hosted TV shows including Soapstar Superstar, Pop City Live and Entertainment Today on GMTV – it will be his first time hosting alongside the main presenters, but he said he’s looking forward to the quip .
He continued, “I think what I’m looking forward to the most is the natural banter that will go on air with the hosts.”
“I know I’ll be on the air with Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley for a few days and I absolutely love Kate, I’ve known her a long time.”
“When I found out I was going to be with her, I was really excited. She’s just one of those people, you just feel safe when you’re around her.
“Even when I told my mom about this performance, she was more excited about the Kate element than my actual presentation.”

Duncan’s big break came in 2001 with Blue members Antony Costa, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe.
The band had a string of successful hits and even represented the UK in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
Over the years, Duncan has turned his attention to acting, starring in the Channel 4 series Hollyoaks as police officer Ryan Knight.
He has also appeared in a number of musicals, including Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Legally Blonde: The Musical.
