THE SUCCESS – Rich made his show business debut in 1976 on the TV series The Six Million Dollar Man. He was 9 years old when he started playing the youngest of the large Bradford family in 1977. Present in the series from the first episode to the last episode in 1981. After the success of the series, Rich had acted in several series and films of the 70’s and 80’s, including “Fantasy Island”, “CHiPs”, “Small Wonder”. His last rendition before disappearing from screens for ten years was in 1993, in an episode of Baywatch.
PROBLEMS – Adam Rich had an eventful life. In 1989 he almost died of an overdose and in 1991 he was arrested on suspicion of breaking into a California pharmacy. Actor Dick Van Patten, who played Nicholas’ father, posted bail to get him out of jail. In 2002 he was arrested for drunk driving and in the following years he was in and out of rehabilitation centers for people with alcohol and drug addiction.
THE LAST APPEARANCE – Rich’s last film appearance was in 2003 when he starred in the comedy ‘Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star’ as himself alongside other ’80s child stars such as Corey Feldman, Emmanuel Lewis, Dustin Diamond and Danny Bonaduce.
