A legend of Australian cricket Shane Warne wished “good night” to his Instagram followers from the Thai villa, where he stayed shortly before his tragic death there from a heart attack at the age of 52.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that Shane Keith Warne died of an alleged heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand today, Friday, March 4,” the management company said in a statement.
The statement added: “Shane was found unresponsive at his villa and despite the best efforts of the medical staff, he could not be revived. The family wants privacy right now and will provide further details in a timely manner.
Warne became a world star in 1993, playing Mike Gatting with the so-called “Ball of the Century” – his first ball in cricket Ashes.
He continued to receive 708 test gates, tormenting teams around the world, especially Australia’s big rival England.

Former England player Kevin Petersen, who was a close friend of Warne’s, tweeted “F ***” when the news broke, followed by a series of crying emojis and the hashtag #RIPKing.

English cricket legend Ian Botham wrote: “I lost a great friend on and off the field. “One of my best thoughts is with Jackson Summer & Brooke … RIP Warnster.”
Former England captain Michael Vaughn has published an emoji with a broken heart with the caption: “I love you, King”.
The England team observed a minute of silence for Warne before the fourth day of their match on the West Indies tour.
Former English batsman Ian Bell wrote: “Surely not ??? Completely heartbreaking.

Ko Samui, where Warne is staying, is the second largest Thai island and is famous for its beaches and tropical palm forests.
