Google Pixel 8 Pro: A video shows an integrated thermometer in action

No, this has nothing to do with a Kamoulox. According to a rumor, Google’s Pixel 8 Pro, the company’s future high-end terminal, could integrate a temperature sensor. The latter would be placed on the back right next to the photo modules.

In a demonstration video viewed by 91 Mobiles, we learn that the Pixel 8 Pro could have a health feature. In fact, the American company seems to have decided to launch a thermometer capable of measuring your temperature in just a few seconds.

The temperature sensor would be placed under the flash and thus on the back of the phone. The video posted by 91 Mobiles shows how it works. It would be enough to place the photo island very close to his forehead – without touching it – to uncover his temple and then make a movement from the center of the forehead to that temple. A process that would take less than 5 seconds in total. The result would appear after the smartphone vibrates. A device that works with both humans and inanimate objects.

As handy as it is, it’s impossible not to see the limitations of this functionality. Up to what temperature is it reliable? How far away should you be from objects? Could the possible heating of the smartphone affect the final results? So many questions worth asking and for Google to answer if it turns out that the thermometer is actually present on the end products. As for usefulness, we leave the decision up to you.
