A group of Republican senators lambasted President Biden during a press conference on Wednesday and slammed him for cooperating with Russia on the Iran nuclear deal while Russian President Vladimir Putin unleashes chaos and bloodshed in Ukraine.
“This deal with Iran, if and when it is announced, will be a major victory for Vladimir Putin,” Texas Senator Cruz said at a news conference, accompanied by several fellow Republican senators. “As the Biden administration sought to inform Putin and inform the ayatollah, of course we will have an exception for the deal with Iran on sanctions against Russia, which means that Putin will make billions in oil and gas deals, nuclear deals and weapons deals. “

Cruz added that the Biden administration is “incoherently” announcing sanctions against Russia and also “creating huge subsidies” for Russia, which “doesn’t make sense.”
“This is wrong, we have to go,” Republican Senator Jim Rish said emphatically during a press conference. “It doesn’t need to be done right now, and especially it doesn’t need to be done when we have the problems that we have in Ukraine. We have to go”.

“Mr. President, you are the only one in America who does business with Russians, stop doing business with Russians,” Risch added, slapping the podium. “Don’t let them negotiate for us, take this deal.”

Republican Senator Joni Ernst said during a press conference that she doesn’t understand Biden’s foreign policy and called working with Russia on the Iran nuclear deal “crazy.”
“Russia is a country where tanks are now driving through Ukraine, killing innocent civilians,” Ernst said. “Children, women, people we care about, and yet they’re using these Russians to negotiate a deal with another one of our almost equal adversaries, Iran.”

Senator Tom Barrasso agreed with Rish, Ernst and Cruz and criticized the administration for cooperating with Russia on a deal while that country invades Ukraine.
“The Russians are negotiating on behalf of the United States,” said the Wyoming Republican. “Turn on the TV and radio and see what the Russians are doing in Ukraine. How can we let them negotiate on our behalf?”

Republicans have also accused President Biden of “cooperating with our adversaries” around the world to soften Russia’s disruption of oil markets rather than open up energy production in the United States.
“We have an administration that would rather deal with international killers than American drillers,” said Senator Bill Hagerty. “This, my friends, must be stopped, and we could stop it tomorrow. All we have to do is come forward with this administration and make it clear that we are going to reopen the Keystone XL pipeline. That we’re going back into the energy business. We are going to be energy independent again. That we’re going to remove this huge lever that Vladimir Putin has on the American economy.”
The White House did not immediately respond to a Fox News request for comment.
