Gospel singer Sulamita Alves and pastor suffer serious car accident Itatiaia

The gospel singer Sulamita Alves suffered a serious car accident this Friday (15) on the way to Cuiabá, in Mato Grosso. In addition to her, her husband Ricardo Henrique, Pastor Carlos Junior and the driver, identified only as Silas, were in the vehicle.

According to the priest, who described the entire accident, the car collided headon with a trailer, then with a truck and shortly afterwards with two cars driving on the opposite lane.

“Very serious accident with our car here in Mato Grosso, but God was good. “Unfortunately, Ricardo, Shulamite’s husband, is the only one seriously injured,” the priest began.

“I have come here at the main temple in Cuiabá at the honorable invitation of the Assembly of God in Ponte e Lacerda and the União da Mocidade das Assemblies of God to take part in an agenda in Mato Grosso. Yesterday was the end of the campaign, so I preached, Sulamita sang, her husband, my friends and also the driver named Silas,” he continues.

According to the priest, they left Ponte e Lacerda at 4 a.m. towards Cuiabá. While he remained in the capital, Sulamita went to São Paulo. The accident occurred when they were less than 100 kilometers from arriving in Cuiabá while the driver was overtaking.

“I was in front, Shulamite was behind me and Ricardo was behind him. I saw that there would be no more time, I thought he would brake, but he didn't. We hit a truck headon, it hit us, and we hit the side of a mail truck, we went back onto the wrong side of the road, we hit another car headon, we hit another car headon and in At that moment it ripped the tire off my car. We ended up flipping over, the car spun a few times and fell into the embankment. I don’t know how we are doing, but the most impressive thing is that everyone is doing well,” he added.

The singer's press office said they had undergone tests as a precaution. “We would like to reassure everyone by letting them know that our beloved singer and her husband are doing well following the accident this morning. God kept them safe at all times. The department is taking the necessary measures to ensure your safety and wellbeing. We will let everyone know when there is something new! We are extremely grateful for the affection and understanding of our brothers during this time.”

In stories, Sulamita reassured her followers. “Guys, we just had an accident. Till now I am shocked, God has taken care of us.”

“We are fine. Ricardo had to do some tests but thank God he didn't find anything. In the truest sense of the word we are fine, you saw that the accident happened, I will report everything later. I am now headless. The smartest thing is that we are fine,” he added.

The artist concludes: “We are leaving for São Paulo soon […] It was a great release.”
