Will Gran Turismo 7 really come to PC? This is a question that we can legitimately ask ourselves after the recent intervention of Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the car series, this time for the Japanese website Dengenki Online. The latter wanted to clarify his comments he made on the GTPlanet page during the GT World Series at the end of November regarding a possible PC port of his game Gran Turismo 7. According to Yamauchi-san, not considering a non-PS5 version is out of the question at this point, and it looks like his answer has been misinterpreted or mistranslated.
Denki Online: Apparently you have told foreign media that you are studying and developing a PC version of Gran Turismo. Is it true ?”
Kazunori Yamauchi: That’s not true either. Regarding a PC customization, I – as a developer – didn’t answer that I hadn’t considered all the possibilities. That means there’s a non-zero chance of it happening, but if you just ask me, ‘do you do anything concrete at this level’, I won’t do anything. There is no subject.
If we sense Kazunori Yamauchi being upset in his response, it’s probably because he doesn’t like bad interpretations, but also because this misinformation comes from western media. However, if a PC version of Gran Turismo 7 isn’t in the news right now, it doesn’t prohibit that a version is already being considered for the future.
