Winter quad biking is possible in Quebec, when thousands of kilometers of trails are open in several regions.
Of course, we still have to wait for the cold and snow before the volunteers from the clubs that offer these winter hiking trails can start their work. To find out if a route is open in the corner of the country you want to go to, you must consult the Fédération québécoise des quads quads map, the iQuad application or contact the local club directly. The rights-of-way sold for the winter season come into effect on November 1st, but that does not mean the trails will be ready at that time. We had a very nice and warm autumn, but we have to remain confident that winter will come at some point. Therefore, before a trail is opened, there must be enough snow for the snow groomers to travel. Operators prepare the trails, fill the holes and freeze the wetlands and trails. Please note that the routes are not open because in the iQuad application you will see that the snow groomers are in motion at the beginning of the season. This is preparatory work. As soon as all favorable conditions are met, the clubs will announce the official opening of the trails.
