Green Day changed the lyrics to one of their most popular songs to denigrate Donald Trump during a televised New Year's Eve Performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong swapped the line “I'm not part of a redneck agenda” for “I'm not part of the MAGA agenda” in the 2004 hit “American Idiot” as a statement against former President George W. Bush and the Iraq War.

Videos of her performance circulated on social media.

It's not the first time the band has taken a swipe at the former president.

At the 2016 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, the band chanted “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA” during a performance of the song “Bang Bang.”

“I hate Donald Trump so much,” Armstrong has previously said, according to Variety.

In August, the band also quickly responded to news of Trump's indictment and mugshot, selling new merchandise that featured Trump's booking photo and the cover of their 1997 “Nimrod” album.

“Good riddance,” Green Day said in an Instagram post announcing the merch, adding, “The ultimate Nimrod shirt is available for 72 hours only. Proceeds from the limited edition shirt will be donated to T̶h̶e̶ ̶G̶i̶u̶l̶i̶a̶n̶i̶ ̶L̶e̶g̶a̶l̶ ̶D̶e̶f̶e̶n̶s.” ̶e̶ ̶F̶u̶n̶d̶ @greatergoodmusiccharity.”

The group is expected to release a new album later this month, which they described on YouTube as “an invitation into the brain of Green Day” and “their collective spirit.”
