Green Day will be held in Osheaga next summer

The American group Green Day will offer a concert in Osheaga on August 3, 2024.

The Montreal Festival announced this first headliner on Thursday morning, reminding that the punk rock trio will make its first appearance at Osheaga.

Green Day’s last stop in the metropolis took place in March 2017 in a packed Bell Center.

The band led by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong stopped at the Quebec Summer Festival in the summer of 2023, where they brought the audience to collapse. Our colleagues at the Journal de Québec spoke of “rockers who give 110%”.

Next summer, Green Day will release all of its hits from the last three decades. The band will perform classics from their albums Dookie, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and American Idiot, which turns 20 next year. The boys will also deliver tracks from their latest album “Saviors”, which will be released on January 19th. The first excerpt is the piece The American Dream is Killing Me.

We will later know the two other Osheaga headliners who will play on Friday and Sunday, as well as the rest of the program for the event organized by evenko.

The 17th edition of Osheaga will take place from August 2nd to 4th at Jean-Drapeau Park.

Three-day passes will be available online starting November 10 at 10 a.m. General admission for three days is $395, while the ticket or Montreal Casino package for three days is $745.
