Berlin police have confirmed that a grenade was found at the home of suspected former RAF terrorist Daniela Klette in Kreuzberg. “So far, our forensic scientists have removed a grenade from the building on Sebastianstrasse in Kreuzberg and neutralized it at another location,” police said last night via X (Twitter). “Other items are currently being examined.”
The police had already evacuated the building in the early evening. All residents had to leave their apartments. The sidewalk was closed. “Our forensic science team is currently investigating the potentially dangerous items found during the search of the apartment,” police wrote online.
Throughout the day, the police discovered other weapons, as confirmed in the evening by a spokeswoman for the Criminal Police of the State of Lower Saxony. The “Tagesspiegel” reported on firearms found. After Klette was arrested on Monday night, police discovered, among other things, pistol cartridges and shell casings.
