Greta Van Fleet postpones more concerts as guitarist struggles with illness

Greta Van Fleet has been forced to postpone more dates on her Dreams in Gold world tour as her guitarist continues to battle pneumonia.

The band recently posted on their Instagram page about the postponement of shows to April 2 and said that Jake Kiszka has been discharged from the hospital but is still battling symptoms.

“We recognize how upsetting this news is and share your disappointment,” the band wrote. “While Jake was discharged after four days in hospital, he is still battling pneumonia and its symptoms. The healing process is long and slower than expected.”

The band say Kiszka wanted to perform, but doctors advised against it as it could potentially lead to further complications and a longer recovery.

Greta Van Fleet says she is working to reschedule the postponed concerts and will announce new dates when they are scheduled.

“With the fans, friends and family who have planned to travel long distances to be with us, your unwavering support has not gone unnoticed. We appreciate your commitment, understanding, grace and compassion.”

The postponements come after the band played at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw on March 13, Grand Rapids on March 12 and kicked off their world tour on March 10 at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.

The Huntington, WV concert has been rescheduled to August 10th. Flint will now take place on September 13th, with Ypsilanti being postponed to the following night. Show tickets that have been postponed remain valid for the new dates. The newly postponed shows, as mentioned above, have not yet been made up for.
