Grossed more than $500,000 for Quebec animated film Katak the Brave Beluga

The animated film “Katak the Brave Beluga” has grossed more than $500,000 at the box office across the country to date.

In the middle of spring break, distributor Maison 4:3 and producer 10e Ave Productions are delighted to see a feature film from our region hold its own against big Hollywood titles.

In less than seven days of operation, “Katak, the Brave Beluga” grossed US$519,701 across 151 screens, including 82 in Quebec, making it the Quebec film with the most to attract families to theaters.

Alexandre Bacon, Benoit Brière, Martin Drainville, Marie-Thérèse Fortin, Yves Jacques, Émilie Josset, Ludivine Reding, Ginette Reno, Mario Saint-Amand and Guylaine Tremblay lend their voices.

The screenplay is by Andrée Lambert, the illustrations by Philippe Arseneau Bussières and the production by Christine Dallaire-Dupont and Nicola Lemay.
