Office furniture company Furniture at Work has made a chilling prediction of what workers adopting the home office style will look like. Through artificial intelligence and some studies, they managed to create a monstrous image.
According to them, in a hundred years people will have clawed hands, a hunchbacked back and bulging red eyes.
The company’s aim was to inform workers who have chosen to work from home about what their future might hold as this modality has become very popular during the pandemic.
They created the character Anna to illustrate this reality. “Anna exhibits many physical deficiencies stemming from constant use of technology, screen exposure and poor posture, and points to potential mental health issues.”

Furniture at Work is based on research from the University of Leeds showing that a third of domestic workers in the UK have a dedicated space for more than just their daytoday work.
Instead, they end up working in the same rooms they sleep and eat in, the tabloid Chron reported.
“To illustrate the implications of not having a suitable place to work from home, Furniture at Work used scientific research and worked with health experts to understand what the remote worker of the future would look like,” the company said.
Now doctors are warning professionals who still work from home about the need to take regular breaks and stay active to prevent neck and back pain.
