The agruación regrets the permanent blockade of the conservative majorities in Congress against the demands of the citizenry.



The Puebla Group on Tuesday expressed its concerns about the ongoing crisis in Peru and called on all political and social actors to find a solution through dialogue.

We claim the legitimate right to democratic and peaceful protest and reject the excesses of the security forces in response to popular mobilizations that have resulted in a deplorable number of deaths and injuries, this organization said in a statement.

“We call on the government to lift the state of emergency and end militarization and indiscriminate repression, ensure respect for human rights and seek a way out of the crisis,” the text reads.

He also deplores the persistent blockage of the conservative majorities in Congress to the demands of the citizenry.

We make a new and strong call for Peruvians to find their own path of peace, freedom and equality, while respecting the constitutional order and the principle of international non-interference in the internal affairs of States, he concludes.
