Georges St-Pierre will not be able to make his expected return to the octagon in December as the mixed martial arts fighter was injured.
According to the TSN network, the Quebecer made the announcement on Thursday as part of his induction into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. He was scheduled to take part in an exhibition fight on December 14th during an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) gala.

The same source reported that an agreement was reached where Nick Diaz would be “GSP’s” opponent, only he also suffered an injury. The two men, who have long hated each other, faced each other in the Octagon back in March 2013, with St-Pierre (26-2-0) winning by decision.
Even at the age of 42, the Saint-Isidore native remained in top form, even though he hung up his gloves. He retired in 2017 after defeating Michael Bisping for the UFC welterweight belt.
