Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Dave Bautista confirms departure from Drax

David Bautista confirmed that drax will have its last appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3but apparently theGoodbye to the character does not represent a tragedy for the actor, who actually said he was relieved by this epilogue.

In reality, things had been up in the air for some time: back in May 2021, Bautista said he thought Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would have been the end of Drax, but it wasn’t clear if the hero would step out in a more dramatic scene way or minus – everything is possible with James Gunn.

“I’m very grateful to Drax, I love this character,” the actor said in an interview with GQ. “However I’m relieved it’s over. It wasn’t all sunshine and roses.”

“Playing this role was complicated, the makeup process exhausted me. And then I don’t know if I want Drax to be what I’ll be remembered for: It’s a fun achievement that I want to devote myself to more dramatic roles.”

As part of the Glass Onion – Knives Out cast, Bautista has proven on more than one occasion that he is a versatile professional, although it was clearly his exceptional physique that allowed him to work in the film world in the first place.

In this regard, Bautista is known to have proposed himself as the protagonist for the Netflix-produced film Gears of War: who knows if the leaders of the streaming platform will give him a chance.
