Guatemala Book Festival begins July 6th

This year it is dedicated to the writer and literary critic Dante Liano, winner of the National Literary Prize in 1991 and finalist of Herralde de Novela in 1987 and 2002, they announced at a press conference.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the institution responsible is planning more than 300 activities, 90 book presentations from domestic and foreign publishers and a program designed for children this time during the school season.

As with previous appointments, La Filgua will present the prestigious Mesoamerican poetry prize Luis Cardoza y Aragón and reward the winners of the Illustrated Republic of El Salvador competition.
