This Monday (26), EM OFF columnist Erlan Bastos revealed details of a statement by Homero Salles, a longtime friend and righthand man of Gugu Liberato throughout his career. According to the vehicle, the director gave a behindthescenes account of Gugu and Rose Miriam’s relationship, revealing an agreement between the two and whether the two had sexual intercourse. Finally, Homero explained why the doctor was chosen to be the mother of Liberato’s children.
Homero and Gugu started working together when the presenter was just 14 years old. At that time, Gugu was hired by SBT as a production assistant on Domingo no Parque, which Salles directed. The professional partnership and friendship lasted for decades. Homero directed Gugu in hits like “Viva a Noite”; “Crazy Race”; live the night”; “Domingo Legal” and “Programa do Gugu”.
In the statement, which Erlan had access to, Salles explained that Gugu and Rose had known each other for years and had always maintained a close friendship. Despite their affection for each other, their relationship never became sexual. The director also reiterated that Rose was chosen to be the mother of Gugu’s children because the host “trusted” her.

In another excerpt, Homero emphasized that Gugu and Rose’s relationship was harmonious until 2011, when problems arose. At that time, it was necessary to create a document in which the rules for the upbringing of their children were laid down. Homero pointed out that an attorney even told the doctor to “have more things” than she was already given by Liberato.
The vehicle also revealed that Gugu has supported Rose financially and over the years has funded investments such as her medical studies and changing her car. Gugu’s director also said that both of them only went on trips accompanied by their children once a year. On those occasions, the couple lived in separate rooms as they never had a relationship, either as boyfriend or as husband and wife, Homero affirmed.

Suggestion after the death of the moderator
Also according to the columnist, Salles clarified in his statement that he would have sought out Rose Miriam after Gugu’s death in November 2019. At that time, the director made a suggestion to the doctor, which was immediately rejected. “I didn’t go to the funeral service in São Paulo because I said goodbye to Gugu at the hospital. “I waited for Rose in the US and showed her the values of the will with lots of sugar,” the director said.
Gugu would have left the multimillion dollar inheritance to his children and nephews with the intention that the younger ones would “take care of” the older generation of family members. Although Rose Miriam was not considered the heir, Gugu left the doctor a R$6 million luxurious mansion in Alphaville, in the greater Sao Paulo area. She still gets a monthly allowance of $10,000 (about R$48,000).
“I told Rose that if she sued, she would take away her children’s fortune. She told me her sister was living on rent, I said we were transferring a property; She said she wanted a monthly amount, I said she would get pocket money like Gugu’s mother,” emphasized the director.
Finally, Gugu’s former colleague and close friend revealed that he harbors a grudge against the doctor. “I’m not angry, nor do I have any regrets for Rose and the children, but I will never forgive them for going to court. “They threw Gugu’s name in the dirt with all this debunking,” he lamented.
On June 20, the Supreme Court upheld Gugu Liberato’s will. The decision of the 9th Private Law Chamber of the Court of São Paulo was unanimous by 4 votes to 0. Thus, the document signed by the TV veteran in 2011 was validated, so that the fortune is estimated at 1 billion reais the three children (25% each) and five nephews (5% each).
