Guide to the best restaurants in Italy: There are also three Brescian BresciaToday

As every year, over 100 of the best food and wine experts traveled through Italy for 12 months, from the Aosta Valley to Sicily, to search and test thousands of restaurants, trattorias, taverns, pizzerias, enotables and wine cellars, the excellence spread over ours Area. These are the premises of L’Espresso’s “Restaurants and Wines of Italy” guide, 2022 edition, “the critical photography of the exceptional Italian offer – according to the presentation – that clearly describes and evaluates where, what and how to eat and what are the best wines for every occasion”.

The guide to the best restaurants in Italy

The new guide brings together in the same product the selection of the best restaurants, the best pizzerias and the best wines in the world: but there will be time (and space) to tell everything. Let’s start with the table, my hut made from the stomach: Brescia gastronomy is confirmed on the tip of the peninsula with three restaurants among the best in Belpaese and in all 35 localities that deserve at least a “hat”. (which is the benchmark: from one five plus the Cappello d’Oro) and other recommended and rated restaurants.

The best restaurants in Brescia and its province

But let’s go in order. At the very top, the highest point: Miramonti L’Altro di Concesio (chef Philippe Léveillé) is the only Brescian to have earned the Golden Hat, along with just 13 other restaurants across Italy. Also at the top of the range, with five hats, are Lido 84 in Gardone Riviera (chef Riccardo Camanini) and Villa Feltrinelli in Gargnano (chef Stefano Baiocco).

The Brescia ranking runs with the three hats of Gambero di Calvisano, Dina di Gussago and Casa Leali di Puegnago: two cappelli are the Esplanade restaurant (Desenzano), L’Albereta Leone Felice (Erbusco), La Tortuga (Gargnano), Hotel Eala Senso Alfio Ghezzi (Limone), Capriccio (Manerba), Saur and Sixteenth Century (both in Orzinuiovi), Locanda Leon d’Oro (Pralboino), Locanda del Benaco (Salò) and La Speranzina (Sirmione).
