The singer and songwriter is expected to be released this week after undergoing hip replacement surgery on January 5th
The 70yearold singer and composer Guilherme Arantes remains in the Santa Casa de Batatais hospital in the interior of São Paulo. The musician underwent hip surgery last Friday (May 1st).
According to the artist's press office, he underwent a socalled hip arthroplasty. The operation, carried out by orthopedist and traumatologist Luiz Sérgio Marcelino Gomes, was successful and the singer is in the recovery phase with physiotherapy sessions.
Guilherme Arantes is expected to be released from the hospital this week. According to the press office, since this was a planned operation, it was not necessary to cancel the show schedule.
Guilherme Arantes is expected to return to the stage in March.
