It’s time for change and big decisions for Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge and Émily Bégin, who have decided to sell their Montreal home to settle permanently in the Laurentians. The actor and presenter told us this in an interview.

“[…] We decided to live up north again. Emily and I are from Laurentians and we love our region, so we decided to settle into our full-time pied-à-terre in Saint-Sauveur. We decided to leave town. We’re going home, so to speak. We decided to give up our main residence in the city and focus on the essentials. We need to be close to nature and also to our families who are also close by. We want to simplify our lives and be a bit more minimalist. The sport of the north is calling me; I’m an athlete doing cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking… I miss the lakes a lot and also want to share the environment I grew up in with my kids. I want to leave them the life of the country.”

As for the Montreal home, the Masked singers’ host doesn’t hide the fact that leaving the house will give him “a little pang in the heart.”
“[…] Our home is in an exceptional neighborhood and we have good neighbors. We love life in this corner of Montreal and are getting rid of it with a little pain in our hearts. We love this property that we have renovated and expanded. It’s a 1960’s house and when we walked in there was a bedroom missing. So we started renovation work to enlarge it. Since it was important to us that each of our children had their own room, we built a new room above the garage. It was a very friendly place for the large family of six that we are.
