Guilty Gear: Strive Character Testament DLC will be available March 28 for Season Pass 1 owners and March 31 as a standalone purchase, developer Arc System Works announced.
The additional battle phase “White House Reborn” will also start on March 28th for Season Pass 1 owners. It will be available as a single purchase for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 users on March 31st and for PC (Steam) users on March 28th. As the name suggests, the stage depicts the Presidential Residence of the United States and serves as a key stage in story mode. Suffering great damage during the events of history, it is currently under reconstruction and has already been restored to its position as the center of government.
The new Digital Figure mode will also be added via a free update on March 28th. In it you can freely position characters, furniture, effects and more to create original scenes. You can also customize each character’s facial expressions and poses, camera angle and apply filters, as well as share your creations with other players online.
“Another Story”, the final new content of Season Pass 1, will be released in late April and will feature an alternate perspective on the game’s story, highlighting many characters that did not appear in the main story.
Here is Testament’s description from the Guilty Gear: Strive official website:
testament
Crimson Scythe swaying in an enchanting dance. Elegant Grim Reaper.
Testament was once a human before being surgically converted into a gear.
Under the control of the Conclave, they worked to restore justice. However, after the events of the Holy Order’s second selection tournament, they regained their confidence. Feeling guilty, they hid in the Demon Forest before deciding to protect the Half-Gear Dizzy from the humans who were chasing them. Although this started out as a way to atone for her sins, it ended up bringing her human sensitivity back.
They now live with the elderly couple who once took care of Dizzy. This new life has brought them peace of mind and they are now enjoying their share of happiness.
Finally, Arc System Works also confirmed Season 2 of Guilty Gear: Strive, which will feature four new playable characters and cross-platform play between PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. The developer is also preparing updates to stabilize the online game by improving servers and reducing the connection time to the server.
Guilty Gear: Strive is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
