Many artists, like Stéphanie Boulay, spoke about the Dashing Cowboys on their social media after their show last Monday on the Plains of Abraham.
Guy A. Lepage also joined the dance and shared a touching message about the group.
” […] I’ve always admired the group as a whole. The members run their business confidently, stay away from the media circus and their great popularity allows them to devote themselves fully to their art or personal pursuits. And they are also very friendly, but that doesn’t detract from them.
We invited them to TLMEP several times, they always declined, it’s their right, and every time the old RBO in me said to himself with a smile:
– They are fine. They don’t need that!
I myself am part of a group, know the symbiosis that arises from it and know how to recognize a REAL group by sharing, generosity and solidarity. The Cowboys are a real band.
I haven’t seen the show on the FEQ. But I saw the clips that were floating around. Like thousands of others, I cried as I watched the singer, debilitated by his illness, sit down to continue the show. Once again I saw the solidarity and generosity in the eyes of his stage partners and I also saw it in the reaction of the audience, who expressed their affection with their encouragement.
You have all my sympathy for Karl, whom I don’t know, and all my respect for the cowboys I know.
One for all and all for one. »
