Gwen Stefani’s ex-husband Gavin Rossdale has reportedly had a tumultuous relationship with her now-husband Blake Shelton and it doesn’t look like the relationship is improving anytime soon. Stefani and Shelton, who married on July 3, 2021, have never hidden their relationship. And while they have plenty of devoted fans, Rossdale has reportedly not always been supportive of their public romance.
Before Shelton was in the picture, Stefani and Rossdale were once an iconic rock star couple. The lead singer of No Doubt began dating British rock group Bush frontman in 1995 before tying the knot in 2002. The two have three sons together: Kingston (17), Zuma (14) and Apollo (9). However, their marriage wasn’t designed for it. Most recently, Stefani filed for divorce from Rossdale in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences.

On the surface, Rossdale and Stefani’s divorce seemed civilized. In August 2015, the former couple released what appeared to be an amicable statement following their split, in which they wrote, “Although we have both come to a mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in the marriage, we remain partners in parenting and committed together.” We’re raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.” However, rumors swirled behind the scenes that Rossdale, now 57, had cheated on 53-year-old Stefani with her nanny. Stefani reportedly spotted text messages revealing the affair.

Rossdale was reportedly initially accepting of his ex’s new romance. Then, in 2022, sources again suggest a feud is brewing between Stefani’s current and former husbands. Of course, without answers from Shelton, Stefani or Rossdale, there’s no way to know what’s really going on behind closed doors. Publicly at least, it seems like the Stefani and Rossdale boys have three very prominent and loving parental figures in their lives, and that’s something to admire.
