LAHAVANE, March 3, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The 24th Habano Festival ended with a spectacle Gala evening which took place at the Pabexpo Convention Center in Havana; Around 1200 guests were present on this occasion to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Trinidad brand. This event, which marks the beginning of the Trinidad Year, has become a very special meeting point for lovers and lovers of one of the most prestigious brands in the world of high-end tobacco.
The evening was dedicated to celebrating the heritage and excellence of Trinidad, one of the most elegant and exclusive brands in the Habanos, SA portfolio. Over the course of the evening, the brand continued to build on its legacy by unveiling the latest significant addition to its portfolio in Trinidad:Trinidad Robustos Extra (50 gauge, 155mm length). It is a vitola that enriches the brand's range of large-caliber cigars and will be available in a new elegant box in two versions: a special pack of 12 Habanos and a three-unit gift box in which each Habano is dressed with a permanent ring and an additional ribbon to celebrate the 55th anniversary of production.
The arrival of this new vitola was not the only news announced as part of the planned actions to commemorate the Year of Trinidad. The renowned fashion designer Charaf Tajer participated in the design of the limited edition Fundadores Vintage 10 humidors for the 55th anniversary of Trinidad. 1000 cellars were manufactured by ST Dupont and the first 55 bear the exclusive design of the famous French designer. This collaboration highlights the fusion of design art and Habano tradition, offering collectors and Habano enthusiasts a unique piece of great artistic and cultural value.
This special occasion brought together celebrities and personalities, including members of the diplomatic corps, and featured performances by renowned artists such as: Manolito Simonet And Ivan Valientethe group Singing Luna and the virtuosos Jos Mara Vitier, Niurka Gonzalez, Brbara Llanes, Laritza Bacallao Or Alisabeth La Santiaguera And Maxwhich kept the audience swaying with traditional Cuban rhythms and more contemporary sounds until the final show offered by the Villagerworldwide known.
The most exciting moment of the evening was the presentation Habano Prize 2023, which reward people who have made significant contributions to Habano culture in the past year. Also the names of the two winners of the competition Habanos World ChallengeMr. Philip Ramos and Mr. Aaron Ignacio, it was announced.

The final touch of this 24th edition of the Habano Festival was the traditional Cigar Humidor Auction. On this occasion and as a first surprise, the first of 128 Cohiba Tributo Year of the Dragon cellars was auctioned, followed by seven exclusive pieces representing global Habanos brands, as well as a special 55th anniversary wine cellar from Trinidad. The funds raised will go to Cuba's public health system.
The pieces sold at these auctions brought a total value of 17800000?. The Cohiba winery received the highest amount: €4,500,000.
