The talented star also shared the letter on her Instagram story, adding the short caption, “Real tears.”

The actress will star in the upcoming live-action remake of the popular Disney animation The Little Mermaid. The film is scheduled to premiere next year on May 26, 2023.

During a recent interview with Variety, Halle discussed taking on the role of Ariel.

“I want the little girl in me and the little girls like me who are watching to know that they are special and that they should be a princess in every way,” the actress explained.
