Halle Berry took aim at Drake after he used an image of her being doused with a bucket of green goo at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on the cover of her latest single.

Following the release of Slime You Out, Drake’s new duet single with SZA, on Friday (September 15, 2023), the In the Shadow of Hate actress revealed in a series of comments on Instagram that the rapper had “no consent” to use it the image as the cover of the song.
“He didn’t have my permission,” she wrote when a fan asked her opinion on the cover. That’s not cool, I changed my mind! »
When a fan asked why she was so “angry” since the photo “belongs to Getty Images,” the actress explained that the Canadian rapper initially asked her for permission but refused. “Because he asked me and I said NO, that’s why,” she replied in her Instagram comments. Why ask if you plan to do what you want? For me it was like a middle finger. Not cool, you know? »
In response to another user, she added: “He asked his team to call my team and I said NO.” I didn’t like the image of goosebumps on my face associated with his song. And he still decided to do it! You see… it’s a lack of respect. Not cool ! »
Drake’s new album “For All the Dogs” is scheduled for release on October 6th.
