No one is safe at the Kids’ Choice Awards. Just ask Halle Berry. The Oscar winner was emaciated at the 2012 ceremony, but he’s still dealing with the consequences.
Gold Standard: Oscar Edition – Best Actor
After Drake used a photo of Berry sliming down at the Kids Choice Awards for the cover of his latest single, the actor wrote on Instagram that she rejected his request to use the photo. Now Berry’s face, dripping with green, gooey goosebumps, graces the promotional art for “Slime You Out” that Drake posted to his Instagram on Wednesday, and there’s not much she can do about it except move on. Two days later, Halle Berry announced her intention to do just that, posting a picture on Instagram with the caption: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger one.” […] even if you are a woman.”
Although Berry had the decency not to mention Drake by name in her initial post, commenters quickly figured it out. “[Drake] I didn’t get my permission,” she wrote. “That’s not cool, I changed my mind!” At press time, we don’t know why she changed her mind about a man who posted a picture of the bras thrown at him at concerts with the caption: “Remember when we both, in unison, forgot who the hell I was…that wavelength was definitely a stupid thing.” However, some commenters cracked up, telling Berry that the photo doesn’t actually belong to her and Drake does I paid, so everything is fine. Berry informed them that Drake had actually asked for permission – he simply ignored their response. “He asked me and I said NO, that’s why,” Berry commented. “Why do you ask if you plan to do what you want to do?” That was awesome for me. Not cool. Do you understand?
We get it. Honestly, the only thing we don’t understand is why Drake would do this to Halle Berry.
