Halle Berry stuns in her business-chic outfit as she appears for the first time since the Drake “suggestive” slime image controversy

Halle Berry was all business when she was first spotted amid her very public feud with Drake.

The 57-year-old actress looked stunning as she headed to the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York City on Thursday.

She appeared boardroom-ready as she rocked a business-chic ensemble for the event, which took place at the Convene meeting and event space in the Big Apple.

Halle wore a sheer black long-sleeved button-down blouse and a charcoal gray midi skirt with a thigh-high slit to show off her legs.

She paired the look with a pair of black strappy heels.

The Swordfish actress wore gold jewelry, including rings and a matching dainty necklace.

Her signature highlighted tresses were cut in waves and combed in the middle part.

Halle accentuated her natural, evergreen look with complementary makeup, rounded off with glossy lips.

The stunner was on hand at the event to take part in a panel discussion titled “Gut Check: Unlocking Breakthroughs in the Microbiome Industry.”

She was there representing microbiome startup Pendulum Therapeutics when she was recently named the company’s new communications officer.

A microbiome is the community of microorganisms that normally live together in a specific habitat. Pendulum Therapeutics is a company dedicated to empowering people with products that help consumers live healthy and balanced lives.

This came just days after she escalated her feud with rapper Drake after she called him out for using her photo without permission to promote his latest single with SZA called Slime You Out.

The image, described as “suggestive,” shows Halle covered in green slime at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Now the 57-year-old “Catwoman” star has revealed more details and even revealed that the Canadian rapper actually asked for her permission, but she said “no” and he used the offensive image anyway.

In response to a fan who pointed out that Getty Images owned the copyright to the photo and not her, Halle explained why she was still “mad” at Drake.

“Because he asked me and I said NO, that’s why,” she snapped back.

Added, “Why are you asking if you plan on doing what you want to do?” That was a big deal for me. Not cool. Do you understand?’

The Oscar winner first took aim at Drake last week with a cryptic message on her main Instagram page that read, “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy…even if you’re a woman!”

Although the post didn’t directly mention the 36-year-old artist, she responded to social media users in the comments section by calling the music artist’s action “not cool.”

A fan had asked the star about his feelings about using her image, and Berry replied: “I didn’t ask my permission.” That’s not cool, I changed my mind!

The beauty then explained the reasons behind the message, writing: “Hence my post today. ‘When people you admire disappoint you, you need to be the bigger person and move on!’

Others also showed their support for Halle’s stance, with one noting: “It’s always important to get permission from others when using something that belongs to them (including their image and likeness).”

The follower added: “It’s sad that people often disregard the value of respect and politeness.”

Another wrote: “Hey, she has every right to be angry.” It’s simple politeness. It is her image and permission is required. Period!’

While her slimed image was used to promote Slime You Out on social media, the track’s official cover art was a drawing by Drake’s own five-year-old son Adonis – which is also the cover art for his upcoming album: For All The Dogs.

The single was officially released earlier this week on Friday, September 15 and featured Drake’s ex-girlfriend and fellow singer SZA.

Both took to their main Instagram pages to promote the song, and each took advantage of the throwback to Halle getting slimed at the past awards show.

Drake simply captioned his post with a wide-eyed emoji and a green heart emoji, although he didn’t reveal anything else.

“Literally”: Amid the drama, Drake recently shared a post in which he is wearing a t-shirt that reads, “What the fuck is going on here?” and added the text “literally…” followed by emojis of laughing faces

SZA – who debuted her “Snooze” music video with Justin Bieber last month – shared the same image, but captioned it with a green vomit emoji, a face with a hand over her mouth, and a googly eye emoji.

The one-dance rapper initially hinted that he would be releasing the track during a recent concert in Austin, Texas, for his It’s All a Blur tour.

“I know you’re all excited to hear the album.” “I know it’s about two weeks away, but I’m going to release a song this week – just to let you know what’s going on,” Drake said the crowd.

Drake revealed that he and SZA once dated in the lyrics to his 2021 song “Mr Right Now.”

“Yeah, she said she wanted to fuck anyone SZA, wait/’Cause I was with SZA in 2008,” the lyrics read, although they weren’t entirely accurate.

“So it was actually 2009 lol,” SZA tweeted, implying that Drake was just trying to rhyme with “wait.” Whatever the case, Drake and SZA were involved in and around the early days of his on-off romance with Rihanna.

Slime You Out is featured on Drake’s upcoming album titled For All The Dogs, which was originally scheduled to be released on September 22nd of this month.

However, on Friday, the star revealed on his Instagram Stories that the release date had been pushed back to the following month.

“Okay, my dilemma I’m facing is either cancel shows to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show…”

He continued: “I owe you all the memories we are building and everything we have missed so far, we will surely turn back.” For all dogs October 6th. It’s only right…’

Drake’s current It’s All a Blur tour is scheduled to end next month on October 9th in Columbus, Ohio. The rapper will perform in his hometown of Toronto on the new release date.

Notably, “For All The Dogs” is the artist’s eighth studio album and his first solo LP since the release of “Honestly, Nevermind” in June 2022.

Later that same year, the Grammy winner released the collaborative album titled “Her Loss” with fellow rapper 21 Savage in November.
