Halle Berry had many big moments at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards. First, she brought back her iconic X-Men haircut by adding gray and blonde streaks to her hair. She also wore a stunning Dolce & Gabbana black velvet pantsuit, paired with a sheer white corset that showed off her ultra-sculpted abs.
During the event, Holly received the SeeHer award, which is for those who stand up for the portrayal of women in the media. She gave an inspirational speech in which she stated: “…we will tell stories that will fully see us in all our diversity and contradictions. Because we are confident and scared. We are vulnerable and we are strong. this and all at the same time!”
She then spoke directly to the young women watching the show, adding, “We won’t always be beautiful and we will never be perfect, but what we will be will always be honest and truthful – no matter how uncomfortable it may be for you. … So, to every little girl who feels invisible and unheard, we can tell you: we love you and we see you and you deserve all the good things in this world.

Wondering what Holly does to get her abs ready for the red carpet? Well, you’re in luck.
If you don’t like crazy long workouts in the gym, you’re not alone. As it turns out, Holly loves 20-minute workouts. “…[it] can totally kick your ass,” she wrote in an essay for Women’s Health magazine. “In fact, they are often even heavier than the longer ones.”
She also likes to push herself with high-intensity circuit training. “I usually do circles of five or six exercises and do one after the other, doing my best for a set amount of time, so I don’t have to count reps,” she says. “Sometimes we use all bodyweight movements, other times I increase the intensity with equipment like ankle weights.”

To keep her routine fresh, Holly relies on other forms of cardio to stay active, such as jiu-jitsu, muay thai, and capoeira. “… one of the biggest changes in my press over the years has been martial arts… When you practice MMA, you use your core all the time. You are constantly tensing, twisting, and bending over. This is a recipe for really strong abs,” she told WH. Now that sounds like a really killer workout.
As for her diet, Holly has always been careful about what she eats. Since she was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 19, she sticks to a low-carb and meat-based diet. Her favorite lunch is lamb chops with cauliflower rice, Brussels sprouts, green beans, spinach or beets.
And for an extra boost of energy, Holly drinks coffee with almond milk ghee, protein powder and collagen. She also practices intermittent fasting, so she likes to end her day early with a quick salad around 6pm.
Time to bring up my coffee game!
