That's something about me: the more chaotic the first season of a series is, the more I look forward to the second season. There's just more potential, you know? If a show is too good in Season 1, what's left to do? Screw it up? No thanks! Offer me a special show for craftsmen. I can fix it.
Like the first season of Halo… there was a lot to fix. Will season 2 solve their problems? The bombastic Season 2 trailer definitely makes me feel like it will be! Like the first season 2 teaser, it suggests that the second season will focus heavily on the fall of the planet Reach, home of the SPARTAN program, which turns ordinary children into cyborg super soldiers like Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber) and transformed his friends.
Halo game fans will have experienced this story in 2010's Halo: Reach, and true Halo geeks will have read it in Eric Nylund's novel The Fall of Reach. But since the Paramount Plus series is set in its own continuity, we can expect a very different twist to the narrative.
The important part is that Halo's version of this story is full of big, flashy space wars, something that will really get the blood pumping while I struggle to remember what happened in Season 1. I think they finally showed a halo at the end. This? Maybe we'll actually go there this time.
