On Tuesday, three-time Grammy nominee Halsey announced that she suffers from four different medical conditions — Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome and postural orthostatic tachycardia.
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of 13 inherited connective tissue disorders that affect your connective tissues – mainly your skin, joints and blood vessel walls. Symptoms include pain, fatigue, overly flexible joints, and fragile/stretchy skin.
Sjogren’s syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease that causes widespread dryness and can cause fatigue, chronic pain, organ dysfunction, neuropathies, and lymphoma.

Mast cell activation syndrome is a condition that causes an increased risk of anaphylaxis (a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction).
Postural orthostatic tachycardia is a disorder in which most of your blood remains in your lower body when you stand up, and in response your heart rate jumps and blood pressure drops.
The 27-year-old multiracial pop star’s dramatic diagnosis came after she was hospitalized “a couple of times” with anaphylaxis and visited “100,000 doctors” to uncover the cause of her chronic illness.
“Obviously my health has changed a lot since I was pregnant and giving birth and I was starting to get really, really, really sick. I’ve been sick for most of my adult life, but it started getting worse,” Halsey — who has 68.7million social media followers — admitted via Instastory.

Halsey admitted via Instastory, “Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth and I started getting really, really, really sick. I’ve been sick in some way for most of my adult life, but it started to get bad.
The New Jersey native added, “I’m still looking for answers as to the root cause of some of these things. They could possibly be another form of autoimmune disease. And I know I’ve had autoimmune issues most of my life, specifically endometriosis. It’s kind of gotten worse since I’ve had it [my nine-month-old son Ender Ridley Aydin]’ (pictured April 28)

“I’m still looking for answers as to the root cause of some of these things. They could possibly be another form of autoimmune disease. And I know I’ve had autoimmune issues most of my life, specifically endometriosis. It’s kind of gotten worse since I’ve had it [my nine-month-old son Ender Ridley Aydin].’
The New Jersey native added, “I’ll keep you guys updated because I know you guys are watching the heart monitor and I’m sick all the time and I don’t want anyone to worry. I have a treatment plan right now.’
Halsey (born Ashley Frangipane) was already suffering from bipolar disorder and ADHD when her body started “rebelling against me a little bit.”
The About-Face Beauty founder wanted to reassure her fans a week before she embarks on her “f***ing crazy” 28-date Love and Power Tour from May 17 to July 9.

“I’m in rehearsals for the tour. I’m very excited. I’m really confident that I can do it in a healthy way where I can do my best for you all,” Halsey explained.
“Honestly, I’m so excited to go on tour because it just takes my mind off everything and keeps my body healthy because I’m so active. I do cardio and stuff every day. And I can see you guys and I haven’t toured that long.’
