Hamas has won its fight

The massacre of hundreds of Israelis last October horrified the world and dealt a serious blow to the Palestinian cause. This barbarism cannot be explained.

The anger was so great that Israel's response was devastating and as barbaric as Hamas's. Since then, the Jewish state has bombed Gaza relentlessly, killing thousands of civilians, including several children.

Calls for a ceasefire quickly grew louder and louder as living conditions in Gaza became untenable.

The Israeli prime minister remains deaf to the demands of the United Nations and its allies, affirming that the war will be protracted and that it will continue to terrorize Gazans for a long time.

The wind is changing

Israel's reaction has now provoked worldwide disapproval, to the point of oblivion of Hamas's atrocities.

Anti-Semitism is spreading around the world. The Middle East region is on the verge of a fire. Despite the numerous missions by its foreign minister to promote detente, the United States no longer represents a factor of stability.

Feeling increasingly isolated on the international stage, Israel and the United States are endangering world peace by perpetuating war and famine rather than contributing to a lasting solution.

Aside from words, President Biden is doing little to bring Israel to its senses.

Dream

Israel had turned Gaza into an open-air prison and encouraged uncontrolled colonization in the West Bank.

The international community, particularly the United States, remained silent and pushed Hamas into extremism.

Unfortunately, Israel gave in to the provocation instead of looking for better ways for the Palestinians.

I hope that Jews and Palestinians can demonstrate together here in 2024 to demand peace and the right of both peoples to exist in complete security.
