Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the country’s defense forces, says the group prefers to use the fuel for “acts of terrorism.”
The IDF (English acronym for Israel Defense Forces) announced this Friday (November 3, 2023) that the extremist group Hamas “controls the fuel in Shifa Hospital.” The statement was made in a speech by Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari. He also posted on this topic on his official account at X (ExTwitter).
“We have released a recording of a Gaza health system worker speaking to our forces. “It describes how Hamas maintains the fuel tanks at Shifa Hospital,” said Daniel Hagari. The unit is located in the North Rimal district of Gaza city.

“While Hamas threatens to run out of fuel in hospitals, it is stealing this resource from patients for terrorist purposes.” We will continue to tell the world about Hamas’ actions and the way the group targets the population cynically used as a shield for the civilian population, expose it to the world,” the IDF spokesman said in a speech on Friday morning.
In the recording from last Thursday (November 2), the alleged Gaza health worker told a member of the Israeli army: “Hamas controls the diesel [do Shifa]. We both know it’s below the hospitals.”
When asked if the group had “less than half a million liters,” the employee replied: “We both know it’s a lot more.”
The Israeli army official then asked: “If I take fuel to the hospital now, they will take it too.” You don’t agree with me?” While the employee replied: “My friend, you are absolutely right.”
SIEGE IN GAZA
In his speech this Friday morning (November 3), IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari reiterated that the Israeli army “encircles Gaza and its surroundings by air, land and sea.”
“Militants are advancing their battles, destroying surface and underground terrorist infrastructure and eliminating terrorists,” he said.
Hagari also said that the Israeli military had located “many weapons, grenades, explosives, protective equipment, communications and maps” on Thursday evening (November 2). All of this happened in terrorist strongholds. Our forces captured the rooms and killed terrorists.”

Daniel Hagari stated that the Israeli army “is very vigilant to respond to any events that occur today and in the coming days.” It said the armed forces will continue to “take decisive action against any harm inflicted on the citizens of Israel.”
