The Hamas group proposed that the Israeli government release some of the 203 hostages in exchange for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The information comes from the BBC.
According to the British broadcaster, the members involved in the negotiation are still discussing the agreement. The hostages were captured by Hamas members during the attack in southern Israel on October 7.
According to the Israeli Defense Ministry, the list of hostages includes citizens of Israel, the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia and Brazil. However, Itamaraty said it had not yet received any information about Brazilian hostages.
