Hamas says it will execute a civilian hostage every time Israel bombs Gaza G1

Israel is bombing the Gaza Strip

Hamas said on Monday (9) that it would execute the hostages captured in Israel on Saturday (7) if the Israeli army continues to bomb the Gaza Strip.

In a video statement, a spokesman for the AlQassam Brigade, Hamas’ armed wing, said executions would occur every time Israel bombed homes and civilian targets in the Gaza Strip. Without prior notice.

This Monday, dozens of bombings were recorded in aerial images of Gaza (see video above). The AlJazeera network also showed bodies in streets hit by the rockets, and local authorities said dozens of homes were targeted.

Israel is still evaluating whether it will also conduct a land operation.

The Gaza Strip, which along with the West Bank is claimed by the Palestinians to form their own state, is currently ruled by Hamas.

The region has one of the highest population densities in the world: Around 2 million people live in an area that corresponds to around 25% of the city of São Paulo.

On Saturday (7), the extremist group carried out an unexpected air, land and sea attack on Israeli cities, killing and kidnapping hundreds of civilians.
