INTERNATIONAL – Early this Monday, October 9, Hamas threatened to kill Israeli hostages in Gaza in response to Israeli attacks on the Palestinian enclave, according to a press release.

“Every time our people are attacked without warning, there will be the execution of one of the civilian hostages,” the Islamist movement’s armed wing, the Ezzzedine al-Qassem Brigades, said in a statement.

“The enemy does not understand humanitarian and ethical language, so we will speak to him in a language he understands,” the statement continued.

About thirty Israeli families were informed

Israel has been bombing the Gaza Strip since Hamas began its surprise offensive in southern Israel on Saturday, killing more than 700 people.

According to the Israeli Foreign Minister, more than a hundred Israeli hostages were taken in Gaza, unprecedented in the country’s history.

The Israeli army said on Monday that it had details of all the hostages in Gaza and had informed 30 families so far.
