Hamish and Andy admit they’re afraid of being dropped because of old podcasts

Hamish Blake and Andy Lee share fears they might BE CANCELED over their troubled old podcast episodes: ‘It could end our careers’

They are one of Australia’s most popular comedy duos and have been in the business for almost 20 years.

But Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have admitted they’re afraid their careers could end over politically incorrect things they’ve said on old podcast episodes.

Speaking to Nova’s Ben and Liam, Andy, 41, said the jokes he made in the early noughties would be canceled if he said them today.

“There are so many things Hamish and I would break up with,” he admitted.

“I promise you — because Hamish and I do another podcast that we listen to called The Remembering Project — there are things we listen to and think, ‘No, we’re not going to say that these days.

“Someone can crawl around and if they really want to, they can pull out their knives and end our careers.”

Nova host Liam said he listened to an old episode from 2006 on the way to the studio before interviewing Andy.

‘Hamish was slapped on the Hamish and Andy Show!’ Andy can be heard laughing in the clip.

‘What do we do!’ laughed Lee. “I can’t even remember doing it, I put it out of my mind!”

“The context here – which I think is important – is that you used a piece of turkey to smack him in the face,” Liam said.

“I asked The Hundred if they wanted another season of the show and it was a resounding ‘yes.’ You have to trust the data,” Andy told TV Blackbox.

“I also asked them if they would like Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake to replace me as host and I have decided to keep their response confidential.

‘Some data you can’t trust. I’ll be back for season three.’

The show’s format centers on Lee asking questions of three guest panelists who compete to see who knows Australia best.
