Harald Bishop is back! Ian Smith is spotted on the set of Neighbors eight years after leaving the popular series
Ian Smith will reprise his beloved role of Harold Bishop in the new Neighbors reboot.
The 84-year-old was spotted on Ramsay Street on Tuesday breathing new life into the character he played for 28 years.
In the pictures, Ian is carrying a large leather-bound book entitled The History of Ramsay Street.
The actor wore a colorful plaid shirt, navy pants and a navy raincoat.
He looked delighted to be back on the set of Neighbors as he smiled alongside Australian actor Scott Major, who also previously starred on the soap opera as Lucas Fitzgerald.

However, it appears he is behind the scenes and may be reprising his role as episode director.
Filming on the legendary Australian soap opera ended last July after 37 years.
It was canceled due to the inability to find a new channel after Channel 5 dropped the long-running soap for its UK audience.
However, just months after airing a reunion episode starring the likes of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, it was announced that the soap would be returning after finding a new network.
The new series is now streaming for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US and includes streaming rights to thousands of episodes from previous seasons.
It will stream on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Cameras began rolling for the revamped soap opera last month, when Georgie Stone (as Mackenzie Hargreaves) and Tim Kano (as Leo Tanaka) will also reprise their roles as series regulars.
Alongside Ian, April Rose Pengilly (Chloe Brennan) and Melissa Bell (Lucy Robinson) will return in guest roles.

Lauren Anderson, Head of AVOD Original Content and Programming, Amazon Studios, recently said, “Neighbors has captivated audiences for almost 40 years, building a dedicated and loyal following for the lives and stories of the characters on Ramsay Street.
“The power of streaming allows us to offer a catalog of thousands of Neighbors episodes, so new viewers can discover this iconic series and current fans can relive their favorite moments.
“We look forward to immersing audiences in new Ramsay Street experiences when we relaunch the show for Amazon Freevee and Prime Video customers next year.”
However, it is unlikely that the popular series will return as a daily program as before during its impressive 37-year run.
