Hardy treated for ‘major injuries’ after tour bus crash, asks for prayers for bus drivers – Taste of Country

Hardy is asking for prayers for his touring family following a serious tour bus accident that occurred Saturday night (October 1) while returning to Nashville from a show in Bristol, Tenn.

“There were only four of us on the bus, including myself, but we were all treated for significant injuries,” the singer said writes in a message to the fans which he posted on social media. “…I was discharged from the hospital but told by doctors to recover for the next few weeks, which could cost us a couple of shows. My team and I will update fans on this while I rest over the coming days.”

While Hardy is on the mend, he asked fans to send their prayers to his bus driver, who remains in hospital.

“Our friend and bus driver needs your prayers as he is still in the hospital,” he continues. “His family is with him while he is being treated and we are all drawing and praying for him.”

The accident happened on the road after Hardy was hired at Country Thunder at Bristol Motor Speedway. Also on the bill that night were Lauren Alaina, Tracy Lawrence and Ian Munsick; Hardy’s friend and frequent collaborator Morgan Wallen presided over the night.

According to his website, October is an easy month for Hardy’s touring schedule, though he’s scheduled to perform on October 8 as part of Wallen’s Dangerous Tour in Arlington, Texas. There’s no word yet on whether Hardy will be able to do this show.

Hardy concludes his statement by thanking the medics who treated him and the other three people on the tour bus after the accident.

“Please keep our street family in your prayers and I promise to keep you updated over the coming days,” he says. “God bless our medical professionals and local and state officials for their quick response and incredible service.”
