According to the British press, the organization raised US$13 million (approx. R$70 million) and donated US$3 million (approx. R$16 million) in support of various social causes during this period.

Check out some of the actions revealed by Archewell:

Covid19 Vaccine Justice. Archewell claims to have acquired more than 12 million vaccines against Covid19 in partnership with the organization Global Citizen. They also invested in the People’s Vaccine Alliance, an organization that supports vaccine access in countries like Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Senegal, India and the United States.

Support for the immigration of Ukrainians and Afghans. Archewell supported the immigration of 174,497 Afghans and Ukrainians through partnerships with organizations such as the HALO Trust and HIAS. Aid included food, shelter and legal assistance, as well as demining and explosives clearance.

nutrition in crisis areas. Through a partnership with World Central Kitchen, the foundation has supported food services on the frontlines of climate emergencies in places like Puerto Rico, which was exposed to last year’s Hurricane Fiona, and Dominica, a location prone to weather events, and Ukraine. The initiative also benefited efforts around the world, with emergency food services in places prone to floods, fires and earthquakes.

Saving people in Afghanistan. Working with the Human First Coalition, 7,468 people were rescued in Afghanistan and assisted with documentation and transportation. The Human First Coalition says Archewell’s support has been “essential” to the organization’s growth.

Promotion of “positive masculinity” and genderrelated initiatives. 3,673 people accessed a positive masculinity guide created by the organization Equimundo with support from Archewell. The foundation also supported research and initiatives to support women and girls, such as the VING project, which donated $1 million in $1,000 checks to girls ages 14 to 18 to “inspired women in her life” for financial reasons.

Financial support for social networking studies at Harvard. Archewell has funded Harvard University’s Institute for Rebooting Social Media, an initiative that examines “urgent issues” surrounding social media such as hate speech, threats, misinformation and privacy.

Playground in Uvalde, Texas, where an elementary school massacre took place last year that left 21 dead. The Foundation funded the creation of an entertainment area for children and the community at Parque DeLeon in the town of Uvalde. The site is intended to be a “home for playful healing and therapy”. “The community playground is a symbol of the hope and strength that the city has shown in its recovery from the Robb Elementary School massacre,” says the Harry and Meghan organization.

And the rest of Cash? In the report, the foundation says it will “continue to create a better world online, work to restore trust in information, and most importantly, strengthen communities online and offline, local and global.” According to People magazine, the remaining money will be distributed to other social initiatives in the coming years.
