Harry and Meghan release a slick video showing the Duchess hugging veterans and taking selfies to highlight the “impact” of her Archewell Foundation – hours after Kate filmed George, Charlotte and Louis in a baby bank

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released a video showing Archewell's “impact” in 2023, just hours after the Princess of Wales shared a clip of herself in a baby bank with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The royal couple shared a one-minute clip showing people and causes their foundation supported in 2023. They've shared similar videos in the past, but usually only in January.

This publication, just hours after Kate was praised for the sweet shots of the Welsh children in the baby bank in Windsor, is now set to cause a stir in royal circles.

Perhaps to show that they are a practical couple, the video shows them hugging veterans, packing bags for schoolgirls in Nigeria and taking selfies with dozens of supporters.

Brand experts have warned of the demise of the “Sussex brand” following the fallout from Omid Scobie's toxic book Endgame, which attacked the royal family and labeled Kate and King Charles “racists” who had expressed “concern” about Prince Archie's skin color before his birth.

The Duchess of Sussex recently signed a deal with mega agent Ari Emanuel of William Morris Endeavor (WME), whose clients include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Serena Williams and other A-listers – but WME reportedly has concerns.

The new, slick video included footage of Meghan's visit to the Fisher House Foundation in Los Angeles, as well as the couple's calls to entrepreneurs, visits to New York to speak at a mental health summit, and a trip to the Marcy Lab School in Brooklyn during 2023.

It also shows workers rebuilding a playground in Uvalde, Texas, after a massacre that killed 21 people – including 19 children – in 2022.

The clip shows Meghan at the Fisher House Foundation, which provides a home for military families while their loved one is in the hospital. The footage was first shown at the Invictus Games.

In another clip from August, Harry and Meghan were seen calling young entrepreneurs to tell them that the initiatives they were running were receiving a share of $2 million in grants.

The video also shows Meghan speaking at a mental health summit in New York in October.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex hosted a panel discussion at the World Mental Health Day Festival, which was their first in-person event for their charity, the Archewell Foundation.

It comes hours after the Princess of Wales shared a clip of herself with Prince George, Princes Louis and Princess Charlotte at a baby bank in Windsor.

The Welsh children helped their mother and volunteers collect donations and make boxes to accompany children in need at Christmas.

As they sorted through piles of donated clothing, sensible George, 10, and Charlotte, eight, folded clothes like their mother Kate.

But unlike his older siblings, five-year-old Louis picked up a T-shirt and tossed it into the neat pile.

In addition to the video, Harry and Meghan also released a 25-page impact report in which Meghan revealed that she was inspired to do this work by her time at the company.

As a working member of the royal family, Meghan supported the Hubb Community Kitchen for women following the Grenfell Tower fire.

“Like the Hubb Community Kitchen, the Welcome Project uses the power of food to bring people together,” the report said.

It says that the two are “committed to a simple but profound mission to show up and do good.”

“Our work, particularly this year, is based on fostering community and reaching out to those in need given the evolving challenges we face in today’s world.”

It said the foundation helped provide 3,176 hours of trauma-informed mental health support to victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, while also helping more than 2,500 girls in Nigeria receive menstrual products and health education.

Other successes include supporting recently relocated Afghan women.

The glossy video could be a clever attempt to put Meghan and Harry back on the world stage.

Meghan recently appeared on the red carpet at Variety's “Power of Women” gala, where she announced “exciting” new projects for her and Harry. She also sat with two of LA's most influential women, one who worked at the Oscars and the other who worked high up at Universal Studios.

But Mark Borkowski, one of Britain's most experienced crisis managers, said he believes the fallout from Omid Scobie's Endgame – and the royal row it sparked – has “backfired spectacularly” for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He is also convinced that the row over the Dutch translation of King Charles and Kate's names was “clearly a publicity stunt”, a claim which Mr Scobie denies.

Mr Borkowski said Meghan's Hollywood relaunch was “clearly not working”. He claims her new talent agency, WME, may be considering firing her after less than six months as there are signs the “Hollywood machine” has “probably had enough.”

He previously told Web: “Something is starting to relax in Meghan and Harry's hearts.” I think 2024 will be an earthquake, either because they will do something to recover and find a new positive tactic, or because it will mean the demise of the brand. It can only go in one or two directions. It can't stay where it is right now. Because it obviously doesn't work.

He said the couple's brand could be “done” next year because they were viewed so negatively, partly due to the royal family's dignified silence in the face of “constant” attacks from the Sussexes and their allies.

He said: “We've seen countless red carpet appearances from Meghan.” The story of her return to Hollywood is all about Meghan trying to get back on her own turf, be available for work and get back to Hollywood.

“But I would suggest that they may be conveniently abandoned by the Hollywood machine, which has probably had enough of them and the negativity.”

“They're hinting at their big plans, but you know, we've heard it all before. So now they have to deliver.”

On rumors that WME might dump Meghan, he said: “I suspect that's actually true. “It just shows that constant erosion of the institution doesn't work.”

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told Web that 'Endgame' could be as dangerous to her career as 'Spare' – her husband's memoir – was to Prince Harry's agency'.

Mr Ede believes Meghan could soon become “too hot to handle” after a Dutch version of the book named two members of Harry's family at the center of racial allegations. He also claimed that the Sussexes' silence since the book's publication made Meghan look “guilty by association,” despite Mr. Scobie, an ally of the actress, and her friends vehemently claiming she had nothing to do with the book.

Mr Ede said: “The book written by Omid Scobie is potentially an arsonist for Meghan's career.” Just as Harry's own ambition to write a book has proven for him, Scobie's new book has unfortunately lit a fire, of which many had believed would go out.

“The problem for a major Hollywood agent is that he will have a hard time navigating Meghan's career because he fears more will come out over time and that she will be threatened by the looming lawsuits against her sister and possibly her father damaged her reputation.” could potentially harm her agency’s reputation.

The footage also shows the couple performing at the Marcy Lab School in Brooklyn, which aims to prepare “young adults of color for rewarding, prosperous careers in technology” within just one year of their education.

The footage shows the duo posing alongside several students at the school. The Duchess wears black skinny jeans, a fitted black top and a pair of Jennifer Chamandi heels – along with the letterman jacket she received from a school debating team in the United Kingdom in March 2020.

Another clip shows the couple meeting with military veterans and their families at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Navy SEAL Foundation in the official opening of a new veterans training facility, known as the Warrior Fitness Program, ahead of Veterans Day on November 11.
