Harry Garside makes a shocking underwear confession in “The Project” – and presenter Sarah Harris surprises the boxer with her very racy style of questioning
Harry Garside made a shocking underwear confession on The Project on Thursday night.
The 26-year-old boxer felt compelled to share one of his pre-match rituals after fashion label Miu Miu reportedly released a pair of panties priced at $8,800.
“I understand that you have an underwear-based super station,” asked host Waleed Aly.
“That’s right,” Garside replied. “I’m wearing new socks, new jocks, fresh out of the box.”
Sarah Harris’ curious mind soon got the better of her.

“Is this a superstition that affects every part of your life,” the co-host asked.
“Are you wearing fresh underwear now – like brand new?”
“Not entirely new,” Garside replied.
Harry is known for embracing his feminine side and has admitted to being a victim of homophobia despite not being gay.
“People questioned my sexuality a lot and were quite homophobic towards me,” the former tradie said on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in April.
“I’m a straight man and I’m very comfortable in my own skin, but I’m lucky that I have thick skin, but I’m sure if they say that to an athlete, who else are they saying it to?”

“I guess when you’re going to belittle people for who they are, they have to be really careful about what they say, especially online – just because you can’t see someone doesn’t mean it doesn’t have an impact on them.”
The star explained that he is “constantly being torn down” and that the attacks come from people who “don’t feel free to express themselves in their lives.”
“It’s been quite an interesting roller coaster ride for me over the last few years, I guess I’ve become more dedicated to my feminine energy and I think I’m actually sitting there more often.”
“Given that it’s a very masculine, very male-dominated sport, that raises some eyebrows. It is different.’
Harry went on to explain that people insinuate his sexuality and make homophobic comments towards him.
“People will see a photo, it’s a human thing we do, they’ll label you or put you in a box, people are super homophobic towards me.”
