Connor McDavid won the Hart Trophy almost unanimously on Monday night in Nashville.
The Edmonton Oilers star player received 195 of 196 first-place votes. Only one escaped him… by far!
For some inexplicable reason, McDavid got fifth place. The media member in question preferred Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak.
In the voting, McDavid defeated Pastrnak and Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk.
In the case of Ted-Lindsay being passed by his colleagues, McDavid won ahead of San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson and Pastrnak.
The center became the sixth fielder in National Hockey League history to have 150 points this season. He finished the season with 153 points, including 64 goals, in 82 games.
The 26-year-old also won the Maurice-Richard (top scorer) and Art-Ross (top scorer) trophies.
For his part, Pastrnak has accumulated 113 points in 82 games.
