Has retirement come for Jaroslav Halak?

Goalkeeper Jaroslav Halak couldn’t convince the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canes had sent the Slovakian a post at the beginning of November due to the health problems of Frederik Andersen, who was struggling with a blood clot.

Halak played the 2022-2023 season with the New York Rangers as an assistant to Igor Shesterkin. He had a record of 10-9-5, a goals-against average of 2.72 and a save percentage of .903.

The goaltender began his NHL career in 2006-2007 with the Montreal Canadiens, who selected him in the ninth round (271st overall) of the 2003 auction. He also wore the colors of the St. Louis, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders and Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks.
