According to the WSBT TV portal, the video was posted last Sunday (7) by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. On this occasion, Chris Dasher and Luis Forero responded after receiving a call about an injured hawk on a road.

When delegates arrived at the scene, they found the bird “was strangled by a snake and the hawk’s bite was imminent.”

“The falcon is still alive. “It’s moving its head and still blinking,” Dasher is heard in the video. “It is very well wrapped (by the snake).”

To save the bird. They laid the snake’s head on the sidewalk, but she didn’t give up. With a lot of work, the police managed to detach the falcon from its neck, which flew immediately.

Alachua County Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr. commended the agents for “going beyond the limits” in an incident that was “outside their normal remit.”

The assistants help Hawk extricate himself from a deadly situation. On Sunday, May 7, patrol officers received a call regarding what appeared to be an injured Falcon lying on the roadway in a residential area. When Deputy Dasher and Deputy Forero arrived, they found that the hawk had been strangled by a snake and that the hawk’s death was imminent. Officers were able to intervene by removing the snake from the hawk’s neck before watching the hawk take a breath and fly free. Sheriff Watson is grateful to deputy sheriffs like Dasher and Forero who “go beyond the call of duty” on incidents that may be outside of their normal duties. Great work sir!
