There was tension between showrunner Sam Levinson and the cast, according to an investigation by Everyday beast and insiders also claim that other actors complained that they did not receive food on the set and were denied bath breaks during the 18-hour workday.
The report also claims that the series received so many complaints that a representative of the SAG-AFTRA union was forced to come to the set.
In a statement to DiversityHBO responded, “The well-being of the actors and crew of our productions is always a top priority.”

“The production was in full compliance with all safety instructions and protocols of the guild. It is not uncommon for dramatic series to have complex images, and COVID protocols add an extra layer.
“We maintain open communication with all guilds, including SAG-AFTRA. There have never been any official inquiries.
However, an anonymous extra told the Daily Beast: “I understand I’m doing background work. I’m not the most important person there, I know where I am on the totem pole.
“But it got to the point where I said to myself that I’m still human, I’m still human. Please let me go to the bathroom, don’t tell me I can’t go for 30 minutes or tell me I can’t eat when you won’t feed me and it’s 4 in the morning. I just feel a lot like we didn’t exist as humans.
Long days: Sources claim that the background actors were denied meals and breaks in the bathroom on 18-hour filming days
Sources added that extras dressed in skimpy clothes were told to wait outside at night in low temperatures with two heaters to keep warm.
Other accusations in the song include alleged complaints about Levinson that he doesn’t have a proper list of photos when he arrives at the beginning, instead preferring to shoot scenes “outside the cuff”.
Sources claim that Levinson quarreled with actress Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat Hernandez, as a result of which the young star left the set.
The article notes that actors from the show, including Jacob Elordi and Maud Apatow, have previously admitted that the second season was difficult to film, with filming often taking place at night.
Jacob (who plays Noah Flynn in the show) confirmed Esquire Middle East earlier this month they would often work 16 hours a day.
“We’ve been shooting for so long and it’s taking so many hours. And you know it’s worth it while you’re doing it, but a 16-hour day is a 16-hour day, “he said.
Earlier, it was revealed that creator Sam Levinson rewrote almost the entire script of the season in eight episodes after being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under fire: The show’s screenwriter Sam Levinson is portrayed with the show’s main star Zendaya
“Most of the originally planned season has been canceled,” Zendaya said The incision in an interview published on February 14. “There are very few things in the version you see now.”
Jacob also talks to Inside information for the ever-changing script.
“Honestly, these scripts have been cut and changed quite regularly for the longest time,” he explained.
“I had a general idea of what was going on, but it was also quite touching and lasted a long time.”
The Daily Beast’s attack comes after another actor in the background of Euphoria told about the “miserable” experience she had on the set last month, claiming that several extras refused to return after a 16-hour workday, which is left “numb”.
Raniel Marie, from Los Angeles, Californiabegan working as a background actress during several episodes of the second season of the HBO Max series, which starred ZendayaJacob Elordi, Hunter Shaffer, Sidney Sweeney and Angus Cloud.
But according to the actress, she decided not to return to the show after she was forced to work 16 hours without warning, was fed ice-cold food and had to shoot scenes in a “dusty room”.
She shared some details behind the scenes of the extremely popular show recently TikTok a video that quickly went viral and shocked many of his avid fans.
Explicit: Earlier this year, Sidney Sweeney, who plays Cassie, revealed that she asked for some nude scenes to be cut from the photos
In TikTok, which has been viewed more than 89,000 times, Raniel said that if you look closely at the seventh episode of the second season, entitled Theater and It’s Double, you will notice that many of the actors in the background are different in one particular scene.
The episode, which aired on February 20, followed Lexi Howard (played by Maud Apatow) as she released a school play about the other characters.
The scene in question shows many of the characters sitting in the audience watching the play, and according to Raniel, who was spotted in the third row, it took “weeks” to film.
She claims that the reason for the background actors to change during the stage is that many of them have decided that they do not want to return in the middle of the recording.
“The play and the audience scenes actually took them an eternity to film, just as it took them weeks to shoot just this episode, which, to be honest, is crazy for me,” she said.
“But because of this there are many inconsistencies in the prehistory. Obviously people don’t want to come back, like I didn’t because I was unhappy.
Raniel, who has since made her TikTok account private, said actor Dominic Fayke (played by Elliott) had to be replaced in the middle of the stage by a bootleg.
More reaction: Last month, an actress from Euphoria told about the “miserable” experience she had on the set
Raniel Marie of Los Angeles, California, began working as a background actress during several episodes of the second season of the HBO Max series
She showed the actor-like actor, but did not specify why Dominic could not complete the recording on stage.
“I find it really funny that they tried to have continuity by having smuggler Dominic Faik right there,” she said, pointing to the double.
In the comments section, Raniel spoke further about her time on the show, writing that she was “pathetic” but not “ungrateful” for the experience.
“I did my job, got my check and didn’t come back. That’s all, she explained.
When a fan asked her why many of the extras didn’t return to the set, she added: “Mostly because of the weather and boredom (16-hour workdays).”
The fellow actor from the past also spoke, calling the work “draining”.
“OMG does not [for real]Raniel agreed.
She also explained that she was indeed paid for the extra hours she worked, but said she had not been warned in advance about the sheer number of hours.
When someone asked her what it was like to see the stars in person, Raniel called it “surreal” and said most of them were “beautiful,” but added that after such a long day, she usually “just wanted to go home.”
Meanwhile, the show is not unfamiliar with controversy.
When someone asked her what it was like to see the stars in person, Raniel called it “surreal” and said most of them were “beautiful.” The cast was filmed together in January
In January, the Drug Abuse Training Program, or DARE, criticized the series for “wrongly praising and misrepresenting high school drug addiction … and other destructive behaviors as common in today’s world.”
Earlier this year, star Sidney Sweeney, who plays Cassie, revealed that she asked for some nude scenes to be cut from the photos.
“There are times when [my character] Cassie had to be shirtless, and I was going to tell Sam, “I don’t really think that’s necessary here,” she told the Independent.
He said, “Okay, we don’t need him.”
The complaint came as many viewers also criticized this season for the large number of “unnecessary” nude scenes.
“It’s euphoric to have so many unnecessary nude scenes,” a fan wrote on Twitter in January.
“The 40-year-old Euphoria writer could have created the show in a college setting instead of staging unnecessary nude and sex scenes involving 17-year-olds who sexualize and make it seem normal to see minors this way,” added another disgruntled viewer.
