He appears in court with the word “killer” on his teeth

According to the New York Post, a Florida murderer appeared in court Monday with the word “murderer” in his teeth.

During his time in court, Joseph Zieler did everything he could to attract attention. In addition to what he wrote on his teeth, the 61-year-old pretended to want to speak to his lawyer before violently elbowing him in the face. Bailiffs quickly overpowered the 60-year-old by throwing him to the ground.

The lawyer still remains calm before returning to his table.

For his part, Joseph Zieler was found guilty of two counts of murder before finally being sentenced to the death penalty. In 1990, he murdered a 32-year-old babysitter and an 11-year-old boy.

According to prosecutors, the victims were sexually abused and beaten before being suffocated. It wasn’t until more than 20 years later, in 2016, that police were able to link him to the crimes using the killer’s DNA.

Remember, according to the Death Penalty Information Center, Florida is one of 27 American states that have the death penalty.
