AGI – A 14-year-old boy died after participating in a challenge on TikTok invited to eat the hottest chip in the world. NBC Boston reports on it. Harris Wolobah, a high school student and star athlete from Massachusetts, had participated in the “One Chip Challenge” that went viral.
On Friday, the boy’s mother received a call from the school saying her son had severe stomach pain. Harris had eaten a very spicy chip that a companion had given him. When he returned home, the boy was feeling better, but then he died suddenly that afternoon, just before he went to practice with the high school basketball team. Other children have experienced severe pain in recent days after taking part in the challenge, which went viral on TikTok and garnered billions of views.
